Greenslade Gallery is situated in Greenslade House, the iconic, Category 1 Historic Places Trust property overlooking the Waikato River in Wellington St, Hamilton in the North Island of New Zealand.
Greenslade House was completed in 1912 and is a wonderful example of Edwardian architecture and one of Hamiltons treasures.
This is a private home that is open to the public at certain times for art exhibitions. Check out our past exhibitions and events, and Artists pages.
Penny is taking time out to get back into her studio and get those brushes out again and we will be open again some time in Summer 2012 for a short period of time and another exhibition later in the year. Blue "Art Exhibition" flags will fly at the gates when we are open.
We're easy to find in Hamilton East - 1 Wellington St, off Grey St, with a bus stop at the gate. We are on the Heritage Trail in Hamilton East which is steeped in history. There are plenty of local cafes and interesting shops nearby and you can easily walk here from the CBD across Victoria Bridge and along the river walkway or through the village.
